Pile 'em high, Sell 'em cheap and don't bother with any QA. If you bear that in mind Rocky can be very useful.
If you need a hood, a widget or a Tamron adapted mount the huge stock means he's probably got one. If you want a pristine, collectable one the maybe you should go elsewhere. Maybe, if you are buying a bunch of small stuff and get up to his discount level it could be worth taking a punt on a lens or camera, but only if you can afford for it not to work or some lens elements to have fungus.
I've taken the punt a few times and been disappointed, but I've equally been disappointed with stuff from secondhand and junk shops or car boots. When the guy is selling a lot of his stock for less than Oxfam would you can't expect too much.
So, approach with caution and the awareness that 1/3-1/2 of what you buy will be as good as you'd have hoped, but with his prices you could still be getting a good deal and consider having a bit of a punt... Just don't look for perfection.
