“Not very professional”

As some previous reviews I also wonder why Barclays suggested we use Chorus Law, we should have realised when we received Chorus's first letter informing us what they were planning to do to make the probate etc a smooth worry free transition to completion when in the last paragraph it stated that if we had any problems or issues to contact this named person who would be pleased to answer our queries ! the name was out LATE mothers name ? I telephoned Chorus to ask if that meant any update we required we would have to hold a séance ???? The lady did apologise but I would have thought any competent company would have at least sent a letter of apology from management, but no. It dragged on and the only time Chorus contacted us was after we had either telephoned / e -mailed or left a message on line, a very very reactive attitude rather than a proactive one which we would have expected in this high tech world. It appears all the case manager did was to have a quick look at what was happening and then change the update date on the Chorus Dashboard for another 4 -6 weeks ahead without giving the benefactors or family representative any information.
We have at last received the money from the estate but although the proceeds from a house sale had been sitting in someone's bank account ( not sure if that was Chorus Laws) for 3 months, no information about any interest that it may made ! so have to presume if there was any it went into Chorus coffers rather than the estate.
Would I use Chorus Law again, No. Would I recommend them to other people No.
