General Comments
I just bought a Honda EU2000i generator after hurricane Gustav knocked out power to most of Baton Rouge, where I live. When the electric company told me it would be 3 weeks before power came on, I broke down and bought the generator. I'd been holding out because of concerns about noise and fuel consumption, but when a friend showed me their Honda Eu1000i, I decided to get the generator. It has started instantly for me, and I get 12 hours of run time on 1.1 gallons of gas. I'm running a small refrigerator, fans, a television, and multiple chargers as well as a laptop computer. I've also run a microwave and a rice cooker on it, although with the microwave and rice cooker going, I turned off the television. I actually went out in the middle of the night last night to restart my generator when I heard it die, only to find out that my neighbors generator 2 doors down had died, not mine. Mine was still running, it was just more quiet 50 feet away than my neighbors several houses down. The maintenance has been very easy, since the generator is running 24/7, I've had to do several oil changes. They can be done quickly and cleanly. The unit always starts on the first pull, and it is easy to move. Overall, I am extremely happy with this item and would purchase one again in a heartbeat.
