I had the misfortune of visiting the Bengal Spice in Norwich during a recent business trip.
The decor was dire, pine wood panels and dubious carpet and lighting. The staff were less than attentive, and quite unfriendly.
We were advised that they did not serve sheek kebabs for starters (unlike just about every other restaurant).
I ordered a chicken balti, to my shock, the chicken was not fresh, but the sliced processed type that is often served in takeaways on kebabs. They dish was devoid of any flavour explosion and mostly comprised of an abundance of cheap onions and tomatoes.
Value? I've eaten better for less in Leeds, Bradford, Birmingham, and Manchester
The world has moved on from the 70's, something that this place need to take note of.
One star because there is no option for zero.
