Good Points
It does indeed play VCD's, I watch them on memorex CD-RW.

Bad Points
It seems very fussy about which disks it will take. I have yet to find a CD-R that it will accept.

General Comments
On the whole the Alba DVD113 is not a bad DVD player, but the manual is a bit limited. It will take a lot of trial and error before we can find a list of disks brands it will except. I myself am still looking.
