Pizza Express = awful, awful, awful! It was my first time visiting this particular restaurant.

We were seated by the open-plan kitchen, which wasn't a problem. When giving our drink order, the waiter seemed put out that we'd only asked for tap water and I noticed that he didn't take our food order when he brought our drinks over and just vanished - but the couple on the next table, who'd ordered wine, had their order taken straight away by the same man.

Our food order was taken by a completely different person. From my vantage point I could see orders being prepared in the kitchen, and I noticed that two meals were left sitting for at least fifteen minutes. After a considerable wait, joy of joys, they were brought over to us, stone cold. I'd asked for an extra topping on my pizza and this hadn't been included. I hailed a waitress, who took the dish back to the kitchen and I could see a chef throw the topping on - so I was still left with a cold meal. Overall there was a very lacklustre quality to the whole experience. Considering the prices - at least £8 per dish - I'd expect the standard of service to be much higher. Won't be visiting again.
