“Automatic renewal takes advantage of the unwary.”

written by Kirkpatrick476 on 27/06/2015

I have insured with Carole Nash several times over the years, and whilst not the cheapest I have found them to be ok. One of the things that I liked was that they did not go in for auto/renewal " to protect me ? " If I could not remember to respond to my renewal notice then I don`t think I should be on the road.
I got my renewal a few days ago and the premium had risen to £192.00,and they would auto/renew unless I contacted them.
I went on line to Carole Nash and found the same cover for £147.00. When I ( eventually ) got through to them on the phone I was told on line was cheaper because they did not have to contact me???. I asked if they did not feel that they should have a duty of care to advise customers of the best deal. This would not be an issue if it were not for Auto/renewal,but was met with indifference. I will not trust them in future.
To Carole Nash I would say " If you don`t look after your customers then someone else will"
