“In ESP exposure mode, the pictures this digital camera...”

written by grovesey on 02/06/2004

Good Points
Staggering pictures from this camera. Although much has been said about the slower lens than the 5050 (this one is F2.8 max), the 28mm wide angle is a superb bonus to an already fantastic camera.

Bad Points
It's uglier than other cameras, and somewhat larger - but don't let that put you off.

General Comments
In ESP exposure mode, the pictures this digital camera returns are out of this world! I tried to use the Olympus C-5060's many other exposure settings (including spot metering), but still the ESP mode is almost 100% reliable in many extreme situations such as mixtures of dark shadow and high exposure. Also, I find the HQ resolution is perfectly adequate for even A4 size prints - I swear SHQ is of no noticeable improvement over HQ (so why use more space on your flash card?!).
