“worst experience, cheated”

The worst ever experience. We had booked a tour package for Kashmir
for holidays with family for total 07 members. We were shown all rosy
dreams at the time of booking. After arrival at Shrinagar airport, we
had to wait for 1 hour for the taxi included in the package. The
Innova which was provided for pick up was in worst shape. badly dirty
from outside and even worst inside. Somehow when we reached at the
first destination at Hotel Kaiser, we were shocked to see the
location. It was located in Rambagh which is 6 kilometers from Dal
lake and is amidst the market area which is not suitable for staying
during holidays. The rooms in the hotel were too small and washrooms
were worst.

Next day morning a better Innovea was provided for trip to Sonmarg.
The car driver was an arrogant person. After arrival at Hotel
Kaiser in the evening, we were told by the Reception to deposit cash
of Rs. 13400.00 saying that the travel agency M/S Ritual tours had not
paid the money for us. We were bound to pay the cash to the hotel
despite we had carried very little cash.

Third day our programme was for Pahalgam. When we reached Pahalgam at
around 2.30 PM, we were shocked when the hotel management of Hotel
Volga which was booked for us and booking brochures were provided to
us, said that they do not have rooms available and booking was also
not confirmed to us. when the booking agency was called they asked us
to wait for sometime. Children and ladies kept sitting int he car and
after two hours of arguement the Hotel Volga management sent a person
with us to see other hotel. The property Hotel Heena which was shown
to us was one of the worst property and after we denied to stay over
there, they showed us other properties and finally we agreed for Hotel
Mala Castle. In Mala Castle again we were held up at the time of check
out and were asked to deposit cash without which we were not allowed
to move. After a lot of delibrations we were bound to deposit cash and
had to bear extra amount of Rs. 3000.00. Next destination was Gulmarg,
where Apple tree Resort was booked for us. It was surprising that the
resort was 20 Kilometers away from Gulmarg. We were compelled to stay
in the Apple Tree resort as there was no other option.

Finally when we came to Srinagar for 2 days stay on Houseboat. It was
shoking that the houseboat which was booked for us was in an isolated
place and was 3 kilometers away from other houseboats at Dal Lake.

The houseboat was under construction and was not fit for staying.
There was all around filth and was not at all suitable for stay with
family.

Finally to conclude I can say that Ritual Tours is one of the worst
travel agency and should not be trusted for any holidays booking. The
people in conversation-  were coordinating
in a very bad manner and were every time ready to fight over
telephone.

I would be filing complaint against the tour agency with concerned
department very shortly to Ban the agency so that they are not able to
cheat people.
