“Happy to stay with them.”

I recently lost my 2 year old cat, over the last 9 months vets bills ran into the thousands as we tried to find the cause of his problems. We were referred to the specialists at Leahurst who sadly confirmed that he had Lymphoma and that the kindest thing would be to let him go. During this time we had a policy renewal from Sainsbury's and despite already having paid out around 2k in bills in the previous policy year we did not see any significant increase in the premiums. The cost of cremation was covered by the policy and I found the staff very kind when I phoned to cancel the policy even though I could only just talk through the tears. All claims were dealt with direct by the vet totalling around 4k and all paid out no issues. I am happy to keep my other cat insured with Sainsbury's. They get 4 not 5 stars as the initial claim was frustrating as they made me go back the rescue I got them from to get a full medical history even though I adopted at 5 months old. This delayed the claim and was very stressful when already dealing with a sick pet.
