“Le Tropical Hotel is situated on the east coast of...”

written by Paul ORiordan on 28/08/2004

Good Points
The food was excellent, the staff were all very friendly, helpful & attentive, they could not do enough for you. If you were regularly having the same drink they were always there with a refill when you had finished.
Take the trip down to Il des deux Cocos if you get offered it is great day out lovely location and beautiful setting.

Bad Points
The room d cor is a bit dated but they are all ways kept immaculate clean and tidy.
They all ways get you to sign a check for every think that you have even on fully inclusive package, which can be a bit tedious sometimes.
The pool is situated right by the bar and the dinning hall which can be a bad thing sometimes, it does not get a lot of sunshine at various parts of the day and the sun lounge's are all ways in the shade.

General Comments
Le Tropical Hotel is situated on the east coast of Mauritius near to the famous ne & Only Le Touessrok hotel. Le Tropical is part of the Naiade group and it has an excellent position directly on the coast.

The staff are all more than happy to help you with any think and every think they are very observant and make you feel at home.

Vinjay the customer services manager is very helpful and friendly he makes a point of talking to you at least once a day to make sure that your stay is ok and if he can help with any plans that you may wish to make or provide any assistance.

The food is very good, they have a buffet some evenings which is usually on a theme and the staff serve you from a serving area then some nights there is a grand buffet of 5 courses when they wait on you at the table, there are other evenings when they operate a table d hort service. If like us you have a fussy son or daughter then they will cook any dish that they require. The hotel operates a couple of ferries that will take you to the local island of Il aux cerfs this takes about 15 to 20 minutes and is well worth it. There are great walks along the beach in either direction and you will be able to hire out bikes if you wish along with a host of water sports equipment that is available from the boat house.
