Flight cancelled due to French strikes and no alternative flight from same operator within 3/4 days to rebook. Took a refund but over £200 out of pocket- not covered by my Emerald policy- admittedly I hadn't spotted this on the key documents in advance.
Email response from cover for you confusing, and response to claim form request not clear. When I called to clarify, a very unhelpful and brusque advisor on the telephone, and took at least 5 minutes to get through to an operator.
