“I've used several Help Desk products, Network...

Good Points
Support Desk has several desirable features.

Bad Points
Those features are better in other products.

General Comments
I've used several Help Desk products, Network Streaming Support Desk being one of them. I was impressed overall with the product for a couple of reasons. The first being that it was able to deploy via a host, or by physically installing it. Second, it has a decent interface.



Recently however, there have been several products that have begun to replace Support Desk. Personally, I have begun to use LogMeIn.com's IT Reach. I recommend this for several reasons: No more problems with Dynamic IP Addresses, Absolutely NO firewall issues, Extremely secure via 256 bit SSL encryption in conjunction with Windows Authentication, as well as some great diagnostic tools. Basically it resolved most of the issues commonly found with support desk, and added a bunch of great utility programs.



The Bottom Line: There are better, cheaper products out there. If you have your heart set on Support Desk then go for it, but if you are searching the market for the best product, you might want to keep on looking and perhaps check out some competitors who I've listed below.
