Good Points
Distinctive stylish motorcar. Very willing engine which will move the car very quickly when asked. Very comfortable interior, excellent leather upholstery with electric memory adjustment. The electronic handbrake is a wonderful piece of engineering

Bad Points
Quality of paintwork is not as good as BMW. Jaguar need to take a few lessons. Paint chips in the bodywork become very common.

General Comments
The Jaguar S Type 3.0 Executive Car is a far superior product to the earlier S Type. The style has always turned heads, but now it has a reliability and level of craftmanship that can match BMW. When changing my previous 5 series the Jaguar was the overall winner over another 5 Series and a Mercedes. The Jaguar gives high levels of equipment, superb ride quality and highly distinctive styling. Amazingly it returns an average of over 36 mpg on the motorway.

The six speed gear box can get confused at times and is not sure when to change up or down, but by and large it does a very smooth job.

This feels like a big solid car, but when pushed it reacts like a much lighter agile vehicle. It is hard to push it to put a foot wrong in normal driving

Excellent value for money when compared on a like for like basis
