On Wednesday I ordered £140 trainers for daughters birthday. Paid £7.99 for next day evening delivery (8pm - 10pm. Daughters birthday was Friday. Waited until 11pm - nothing. JD sports customer service line closes at 8pm! Rang at 8am on Thursday. They rang courier - who couldn't trace the package. This went on all day Friday. Daughter was returning home (250 miles away) after lunch. So she went home without a present. I kept ringing JD sports who then told me that the parcel had been located and would be delivered this evening. I told them again - that this was now no good as daughter had returned home. They would not redirect the parcel. They told me that I should wait for the package then take it to the post office and post it myself - if I wanted to, I could send the post office receipt to them and they may refund up to the cost of 'recorded delivery' (£140 trainers would not be covered for compensation!!). They also offered me 10% off my next order - FAT CHANCE!! It cost me £9.38 Special Delivery. My daughter loves the trainers but JD sports were most definitely the worst online service I have ever used - and I do all my shopping online!!
