“Mortgage 50% LTV - How long can it take?”

Shame there isn't the option to give zero stars. Applied for mortgage six weeks ago by telephone, passed through several 'stages' talking to different people. They tell you your mortgage is approved - then you speak to the next stage along and are told that actually it hasn't been approved. Now told that application has been passed to the underwriters, God knows how much longer this is going to take. No mention of them actually going to survey our dream property yet either! After the interrogations I have gone through from these rude and arrogant people (who talk down to you, I remember the days when the customer was king) I am fast losing the will to live. Every time you ring it's a different person, each possessing varying levels of rudeness. I haven't come across anyone pleasant as yet. Its not the cutomer's fault that they hate their jobs! Thing is, we feel we are so far down the line that we will waste more time if we go elsewhere. Take my word for it DO NOT USE! You will almost certainly regret it. If we lose this property, heads will roll.
