“Click & Collect, forget it!”

Purchased 30ml Dior J'adore for £47 on 16th Dec 14, for delivery to Southampton store by 12.00 midday on 17th. Went to collect and was told that the item had not been delivered yet. No apologies, just told to come back later. On the way out of the store I went past the Dior counter and asked if there was any problem with supply. Assistant said not and checked if they had any in the stock room. They had 262 of the items in stock. However I was not able to have one of these items unless I was prepared to pay again. I went back to the click and collect dept to cancel my order so that I could purchase in store. I was now told that I cannot cancel until the item arrives. Now it's the 19th and have just spoken to Debenhams enquiries who have tried to contact the store themselves. They tell me that they cannot help because nobody is answering the phone at my local store. I'll just go and buy it at a real retailer who cares. Ah Ha, just found it at Boots for £41.50.
