“AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!”

Placed 2 orders at the end of September for goods totaling almost £500 and requested a delivery date of the 28th Oct. On the 27th Oct I rang to confirm delivery and was told my goods were out for despatch. At 16.37 I was informed by email that delivery now delayed and it would be the 29th Oct. On the 29th no sign of my furniture so rang them and was told it would now be Monday 3rd Nov (due to changing couriers). On Monday 3rd Nov I received an email advising that my order had now been updated to status full refund due to supply issues and that it would clear to my account within 3-5 days. On the 7th Nov no refund received so I rang and was told they are now having problems with their refund system so needed my bank account number and sort code as they were processing a BACS refund which would be in my account by close of business Monday 10th. As of 16.30 on the 10th still no money, as the telephone numbers had been constantly engaged all day I emailed again and was assured the money would be in my account by 6pm and that they were having a problem with their phone lines. Tuesday 11th still no money, one phone line now dead and the other has a fault, advised refund is now processed and should be received no later than Friday. As I do not believe that I will get my money back I have contacted Visa as I paid on a Visa Debit card and have commenced a dispute against them, also reported to Watchdog as they are still advertising official to Peter Andre 60 Minute Makeover which is a joke. Wednesday 12th, Direct Bedroom telephone number is no longer recognized and they have stopped responding to emails. I have now reported them to Trading Standards and I hope that others in my position will do the same as the more complaints they receive the more likely something will be done to stop them robbing innocent people that have worked hard for the money that effectively has been stolen from them
