“incorrect assessment of the carat rating. beware. ”

Written on: 06/11/2014 by cris.egan (2 reviews written)

I read the reviews, all seemed in order. I sent a mixed bag of items to them. First I ordered a gold pack.It never arrived. I contacted them and they agreed to refund the cost of secure delivery. I sent this mixed bag which had been assessed by 3 different jewelers. To my surprise their offer was about 150 pounds lower than expected. I questioned this, was told that their " latest equipment " had evaluated 18 carat gold at 9 This was for non hallmarked items. As it was for quite a large piece I asked it be returned. They first told me I had to pay to have it returned. I informed them they had offered to reimburse me for sending it to them in the first place. Finally they did agree to return my gold. I took it to a local buyer and he paid out after verification at the 18 carat rate. So all I can say is that their latest equipment is inaccurate, at least in my case. Just a warning if you are thinking of sending non hallmarked items to them.
