Just got this "dead" Whirlpool AWZ481E hardly used european 240v dryer off ebay for £100, HAHA fello ebayers - it was a simple fix, opened up the panels, rear and top, and in the wiring bundle which goes from front to back at the top ,( which incidentally NOTE should be fixed with stick down "zip" bases to the side panel or at least gaffer tape, as it could get harmed by the drum), anyway, found an in-line black fuse holder with a gone fuse value 6.3 amps uprated it to 10 amps slo blo, dunno what it does, but when I replaced it the machine sprang to life. It's a really well built machine, the wiring harness is a bit micky mouse in that it's not fixed with restraints. I think the fuse went because it's the wrong rating or a poor quality fuse. I can't see any reason for it to go, it's now running on soak test 4 hours gone. Don't forget this is a massive 4.5kW unit and a pro electrican must plumb it in or your mains plug and socket will burn up. I've had other whirlpool stuff and this matches their fabulous 10kg washer unit. Robust, used by the military, I'm in the military YO cant beat up a whirlpool. Don't try this 10c fix unless you have a degree in astrophysics and can fly a plane.... you can email me through www.youtube.com/ebaystars where I moan about crappy pro audio equipment...
