Good Points
Good suction and appliances when working!

Bad Points
Overheating continuously and cutting out.

General Comments
Swan SC2003 - Had the vacuum as a gift (cheesy I know) and worked fine for two days!! until motor overheated and cut out. Realised that we had to watch carefully and stop hoovering when the casing became too hot to touch. This carried on for about a year until one day I turned the machine on and after a small whine it died completely. After taking the vacuum to bits and finding no obvious explanation, we concluded that we had to get a new one. Luckily it is still under extended warranty...just, and Swan will be sending me a new one... but I have to wait a whole month for a replacement! However, I also found out that our friends have experienced the same problems and have actually gone through two vacuums of the same make and model and are on their third after a year and a half.



Personally I believe that they are all faulty models and that no matter how many replacements you get, the problems will always remain.



My advice is to get a totally different vacuum, don't waste your time and money.
