“Shocking Delivery Practice and Customer Service”

I purchased an Ikea Day Bed on 13 August 2014 and was very happy when they said it could be delivered the following week (Friday 22 August). I duly waited in for the arrival (between 4.00 pm and 8.00 pm). At 6.55 pm I received a telephone call to say that the van had broken down that was delivering my bed and they wouldn't be able to deliver my bed until the following Monday, I agreed to this as long as it was first thing as I could not waste another day sitting around waiting for it to turn up. It was agreed that the bed would be delivered on Monday 25 August as the first item off the van. The following day (23 August)I received a text to say that the first available date my item could be delivered would be Thursday 4 September. I was really annoyed at this. I have tried to phone them (impossible waiting times) and have contacted them by email twice, and surprise surprise I have still not heard anything from them. I think it is absolutely disgraceful. So, we shall see if the bed turns up on Thursday. Watch this space...........................
