Told by my bank that I couldn't extend my overdraft because of information provided to them by Experian, I felt I had no choice but to sign up for a free trial to determine what the problem with my credit was. On sign up I was informed that I would not be charged the monthly fee automatically after the trial, I would need to confirm I still wanted to use the service. Clearly this wasn't the case. Money grabbing company, who obviously have no qualms about charging people who already have economic worries an extortionate rate for a rubbish service. As if all this wasn't enough to make me want to close my account, the fact that it is impossible to do so without phoning an equally expensive customer helpline and sitting on hold for ages truly takes the mick. In this day and age it is entirely plausible to be able to close your account online, there is no reason why this service shouldn't be available, apart from the fact Experian want to rinse you for every penny you have. Absolutely do not sign up for their services ever. I don't usually take the time to write reviews online, but this company has made me so angry that I really think others need to be warned against it. If I'd have read these reviews before hand, I certainly wouldn't have given Experian any of my details.
