I moved to WPA after having private medical insurance with a number of other insurers for 20+ years. I can categorically say, on the basis of direct comparison, that the customer service from WPA is the worst that I have received from a health insurer.
In particular, they appear to have a corporate policy of putting obstacles in the way of any client unfortunate enough to need to make a claim in the first six months of a policy. I am fortunate that the claim was for a minor condition. I dread to think what would have happened if the claim had been for something serious. They certainly didn't focus on making the experience stress-free for the customer.
