“The F100 was a step up from N70 for me and I never...”

Good Points
sturdy, excellent dead-on metering so when you compensate 1/3 stop you know exactly what to expect, easy to learn and operate on the fly, feels great in hands, quick AF, leaves you wanting to take just one more shot

Bad Points
a bit pricey but, hey, you only live once

General Comments
The F100 was a step up from N70 for me and I never looked back as I have with other pricey decisions in my life. With the 70, even after a few months I often needed to stop and think about mechenical adjustments, e.g. aptr pri. to manual, continuous to single focus, etc. On more than one occasion, by the time adjustments were made, the photo opportunity had passed. On the 100, all functions are easy to learn, function controls are well positioned, and I spend more time thinking about composition than mechanics.

It feels great in my hands and performance is consistent and reliable. The F100 runs like a well tuned, fine automobile. If you seek quality but don't wish to spend $2000 on an F5, the F100 is a prudent choice
