“absolutely useless”

written by Kaden452 on 02/08/2014

I and all of my family were members of Epsom Horton park over a period of time the children and my wife left it due to lack of use. I was a member for 8 years when I joined the club it was great well run everything working and mostly new but over that time the price went up above inflation and the way the club was run and condition nose dived in a very short period of time. They are not interested in the individual just families which pay a higher monthly fee. I have 4 older children but at the club the children are not controlled by there parents they are not told off by staff and on many occasions the pool was closed due to children being sick or going to the loo most having snacks before going in the pool from the clubhouse. After getting fed up with not enough action being taken I started to look at other clubs which I am a member of which is so much nicer and personal and £36 a month cheaper. Now leaving David Lloyd is as follows 3months notice and an email confirmation paying for those months. I called and emailed them on the 26th of January 2014 paid for 3 more months and left at the end of April. I have been called 8 times of why I have not paid my monthly instalment to this day end of July 2014 3 times from head office a threatening letter from Baliffs whilst calling Epsom 7 times and being told and on the last time promised 3weeks ago I would here no more. Yet again head office called me 3 days ago again asking for payment. If you are going to join be prepared for bad service there are plenty of other good clubs out there and for a lot less money.
