“I first encountered issues when I received a quote...”

Written on: 03/07/2014 by WayneB82 (1 review written)

I first encountered issues when I received a quote from one parts dealer/breaker without a price attached. When I called the Rotherham based company they said "oh sorry its a system error and we don't have the part" I resubmitted my enquiry and this happened a further two times with the same company over a 2 week period. Time wasting and annoying!(first alarm bell)

When I finally got an adequate quote for the right part my nightmare began!

A Cardiff based company Longlife Spares Ltd was the company I went with in the end. I called and was left on hold for ages (second alarm bell)then I was dealt with by a very friendly and chatty individual. I ordered the part and asked for it to be delivered to the garage where it would be fitted, the guy I was speaking to agreed this was OK and took my garage address, he even found the address by company name alone and read the whole address back to me. This was then confirmed at the end of the call.

Two days later the bumper turned up at the wrong address (the address my bank card is registered to, not the delivery address given)THIRD ALARM BELL

A member of my family quite obviously signed for the package not having a clue what it was, having not been made aware is was going to arrive. The bumper was poorly packaged and had a large gaping crack in it. The first I knew of this was a text message containing a photo of the bumper from my family member.

I promptly called Longlife Spares Ltd to make them aware of their mistake and was greeted with a mass of excuses and lies to cover up their mistake. They accepted they had sent it to the wrong address, but blamed the courier for this FOURTH ALARM BELL. They said they had given the courier the garage address. I have since checked the bumper and the delivery note clearly contains the card address (the wrong delivery address).

After four very annoying calls trying to resolve this I have been refused a refund even though they have admitted their mistake and have gone through 1st Choice customer care to complain.

1st Choice customer care emailed me back regarding a completely different part, nothing to do with my complaint! RUN OUT OF ALARM BELLS!!!

I have just received further feedback from Longlife Spares Ltd via 1st Choice customer care STILL REFUSING A REFUND!!!

This service clearly uses rubbish traders and has a very weak screening process! I would never use such a service again and will be doing everything in my power to get my money back, this is nothing short of theft!
