I have been with 3 for 2 years now and have never had any problems. Just one time I didn't have reception for 5 minutes, but this is something normal, no matter the provider. Everytime I called customer service, although the person I would speak to was foreign, I have been always treated in a polite manner and my problem was solved, if not while I was on the line, within 1 hour.
Although, I completely understand some people's frustration, my opinion is that anyone who's thinking of joining them, go ahead! One thing that I have to say in defence of 3 is that I also work in a customer facing environment and I know what it's like for 'unknowledgeable' individuals to call you and start complaining, when in fact it's very likely the problem is on their side. In other words, if you're a dumbass, stay away from any piece technology!
As a closing statement, I am a happy 3 customer, who, although, is moving to a different network because I was offered an great contract with one of their main competitors, I would transfer back anytime and also recommend them to any friend without blinking.
