It is absolutely ridiculous that MoneyGram would offer a service on their web site, and then make me call someone in Nicaragua that puts me on an extended hold only to tell me "you can't use MoneyGram for a purchase so we are canceling it" I asked what most people are doing with their money transfer service if not making a purchase, and suggested that if purchases are not acceptable, then they should indicate that on their web site.
When I ask what I should do they just said to go someplace else. I said that was ridiculous and that I wanted to talk to a manager, and they said they don't have managers. I asked what it was that MoneyGram does not like about the transaction so I can clarify the nature of the transaction is with someone I have worked with for many years. They said they could not say. I am appalled at how miserable this service is.
