Rented a car for a couple of days from the Euston branch of Avis.
Customer service was great and easy (despite an irate client shouting at the same time we were picking up).
Car was great, spotless and in perfect working order. Was a great solution for us for the 2 days.
BUT, there were some substantial roadworks closing one direction of the road leading to the car hire place. I asked about it on pick up, as to the best way to get there to return the car, the lady there did not know.
It turned out to be a very painful experience - took over 30 minutes to get to the car return (I used to live in this part of London for 25 years, so know the roads) - took me 6 different routes to find a way through and ended up having to go into the congestion charge zone to get there!
Would have expected the car hire place to have something prepared for this.
Apart from this, would thoroughly recommend.
