“Hamam - 80 years on the market and still brilliant”

Written on: 15/04/2014 by Jamie1945 (9 reviews written)

Hamam is a face and body soap made and sold in India, and available in Indian stores in UK. I has been made for about 80 years to the same recipe with Neem oil and Tulsi Oil. Neem is known to have skin soothing and healing properties. Tulsi [a strain of Basil] is believed to affect the frame of mind towards a relaxed and peaceful attitude. I don't know about that, but the soap is wonderful. Green in colour, smooth, foamy, good shape and economical.
After a long chemo treatment for scalp skin cancer, I was suffering with broken skin, blisters, tight and painful sections. After the treatment ended, I just wanted to settle down and let the skin return to a normal shade and appearance. But nope. It stayed a mess for weeks. Then a herbalist suggested Hamam soap and I got some.
Totally converted. Within 72 hours, the lesions had reduced. Within a week the skin was almost normal. After 10 days , you wouldn't know there had been a problem
Now I use it all the time.
