“Flight change at last minute”

We arrived at Gatwick South Terminal with plenty of time. After waiting at the check in desk were told we were not booked onto our flight TCX1638 to Hurghada as stated on our ticket. We were asked to stand to the side like two naughty children, and after several frantic phones calls with two different supervisors we were told we were flying with Thomsons and should be at the north terminal. We found this very stressful as we had never flown via the North Terminal before. We then had to get on a train to the North Terminal and went to Thomsons check in desk. We were again told we were not flying with Thomsons but with Thomas Cook. We explained that Thomas Cook had sent us and more frantic phone calls and sending for supervisors one eventually said they knew something about it and we were booked onto the flight.

All this process lost us over an hour of time and we were unable to have breakfast and do shopping which we had intended to do.

We received no apology from Thomas Cook and will be writing to them....... Watch this space.

PS the leg room on the Thomson flight was better than Thomas Cook.

This was no reflection on our holiday which was great.
