“poor customer service”

I ordered (and paid for) two items online four weeks ago and was informed by email of next day delivery. Picked up one item from shop following day - no news of other item(cost £35). No email. Phoned two weeks later - item in packaging - will be delivered any day. Still no email or apology. Phoned again one week later - item was lost in packaging(!). Requested refund. One week later no refund in bank account. Phoned again to find item refund had not been requested. Assured it would now be refunded. No explanation or apology. If I had not checked my bank account (suspicious by this time) I'm sure no money would have been refunded. It still hasn't been but I live in hope.
Cost in phone calls - considerable; in time and frustration - considerably more. No new jacket for event. I will not be using Next again.
