“Adidas Evil Eye A127 prescription Insert upgrade”

Written on: 03/03/2014 by joeA100 (1 review written)

Another year another set of lenses for my Evil Eye cycling shades. Although I live in the states now, I still find the best selection of spares at Sport Shades Online. As ever I got great service and great advice.
I love the fact that after all these years I can still get all the parts.

I decided to get the updated prescription insert for my shades this year. I previously had the rimmed circular insert which worked fine, but had the following drawbacks.
1. they only covered the centre part of the shades
2. the rim was visible and while you got used to it, it sometimes impaired vision
3. the rim touched the shade lenses and over time left a mark in the inside
4. in the winter when I use my clear or yellow lenses, the inserts make me look a bit geeky :-)

However, the benefit of the insert to me was worth those minor drawbacks.

Then the new inserts turned up. Wow, what a difference.
The prescription lens covers most of the shades lens and no rim. The vision is so much better. A little silicon bumper is incorporated into the prescription lens that stops the two lenses touching - no more marks.
Finally, they don't make me look geeky anymore - they are so much better from an aesthetic point of view also.

If you have these Evil Eye shades with the old rimmed prescription insert, then treat yourself to the new style.

And I'll sign off by saying again - great service!
