“Phone not working - useless customer service!”

I have been unable to make outgoing calls from my phone for 3 days now. This includes the weekend, when I should be able to make free international calls.

When I rang from another phone to report the fault, the customer services number was unobtainable. Having rung every single number I could find on their website, I eventually spoke to some oik with an IQ of about 6. It took me about 20 minutes before he could understand the problem, and he then proceeded to tell me that service would be restored on 27 Feb (4 days time). He tried to blame the wet weather for the break in service, but couldn't explain exactly what had happened. Neither could he give me a reliable number for customer services (you still can't get through)- he just said that I'd obviously misdialled on each of the separate 20+ times I'd tried to get through to them. So - I'm paying for a service the Post Office can't currently supply, can't contact them for an update on the situation, or to arrange a rebate for such shockingly bad service.

So, they are saving the cost of any calls I might have made this weekend, but apparently cannot reinstate a service they are still expecting me to pay for, and have not offered anything towards the cost of making necessary calls from other phones.
