“Expensive Cattle Market”

Written on: 20/02/2014 by Yari-Red (2 reviews written)

We travelled with Thomas Cook, the route being new to this airline. This was to be a 10hr flight, as the journey outward was via Antigua. On board this flight we presumed the drinks would have been included in the price of the holiday as with Virgin, however we were astonished when the drinks/snacks trolley came round & we were expected to pay the extortionate prices they charge on board!! The in-flight entertainment was very poor with only a handful of very old programmes to watch & the films were very old releases, we were even charged £2.50 for head sets!! yet on the Web Site it advertised a wide selection of Movies, TV and radio to keep you entertained ,but only if you purchased one of their headsets.
After 8 or so hours we touched down in Antigua, where 106 passengers left the aircraft , rather like a cattle truck and after a very swift clean with us still on board , a further 160 people got on board for their return flight to Manchester , it was such a bizarre process. I really think the powers that be at Thomas Cook need to take a leaf out of Virgins book, because they far outclass this airline , it was a cattle truck , shoddy affair from start to finish, very disappointed
