“Beware CarJet & Dickmanns Car Rental!!”

To be fair I have used CarJet on numerous occasions over the last 9 years when booking car rental from Alicante airport and have previously never had any issues. Not so on the last occasion! I arranged to hire a Mercedes Vito people carrier from Dickmanns car rental via CarJet. I paid up front for the hire & took out full insurance via CarJet. Prior to travelling, CarJet e-mailed to advise me that on no account should I take out the hirers top up insurance as it was worthless & I was already fully covered. On collection of the vehicle, Dickmanns said they would be debiting me 950E deposit, refundable on return of the vehicle. At the time I pointed out some severe damage to the rear bumper of the vehicle and was advised that this had been duly noted. When I returned the vehicle I was informed my credit card would be re-credited the deposit within 2-3 days. To my amazement I received an e-mail a week later from CarJet to say that Dickmanns would not be returning the money due to the bumper damage!! I have wasted 4 months attempting to get my money back & have obviously refused to fill in a fraudulent insurance claim. BE WARNED
