“An excellent collection of nutritious recipes!”

Written on: 20/01/2014 by Herbrob2 (20 reviews written)

'Nom Nom Paleo - Food for Humans' is the latest addition to my cookbook selection, and its an investment I'm delighted to have made.

The recipes themselves are a brilliant selection, easily split into chapters such as meat, fish, poultry and plants. There's also a great section called Building Blocks, which features some wonderful sauces, spice blends and tips that you can refer back to as part of the other recipes. Some of my favourite recipes include:

Chinese Egg Foo Young - tastes even better than the takeaway favourite, and its minus the MSG and gluten!

Slow Poached Magic Tuna - so simple, but such an innovative way to cook tuna

Coconut Pineapple Rice - made from shredded cauliflower of course!

Magic Mushroom Powder - An amazing spice blend that has to be tasted to be believed!

There's over 100 recipes in total - I haven't even tried half yet!

Michelle makes the book a pleasure to read by balancing all these great recipes with witty anecdotes, playful cartoons and interesting articles. There is some really relevant information as well for anyone following a Paleo diet, especially about how to source your food and must have items for your kitchen. It is informative and fun to read in equal measure!
