We have had an Argos Store card for a about 4 years and have made some fairly big purchases on it taking advantage for the 0% interest free payment plans they offer. Each time we have settled the payment plan in full before the interest free period ends and have not incurred any interest what so ever.
Argos have now written to us to say our card is due to expire and have decided not to re-issue us with a new one. This policy apparently is based on things like usage levels !.
This is disgraceful. We have spent a lot of money with Argos and always paid back what we owe in good time. I can only assume, the encourage those people who fail to pay back in time and can thus charge them extortinate interest, the rest of us who are responsible - they are not interested in.
Well thanks a bunch Argos, you have lost custom and we won't be looking to shop with you again.
