Order ID: FH828820

I bought Birlea Lynx furniture from Furnishing homes for £450. The company promised to deliver within 6-10 days but failed to do so. They confirmed multiple time that the delivery is going to be on a certain day and I took a day off from work but nothing was delivered. After waiting several weeks and numerous calls, they delivered half of the furniture and informed me that the other half will take another month. I then decided to cancel the order. I was then told that refund has been processed and also given proof of refund from Sage accounting software.
Every time I called, they informed me that refund has been processed and it might take another few days for it to appear on the system.

After three weeks, I received an email from the company saying that Worldpay has closed their merchant account and worldpay are also holding £60,000. So the company does not have the funds to refund my order.

They have also stopped picking up the telephone.

They asked me to take the refund from the bank on the basis that the company has gone into liquidation but the website is still running and company house also doesn't state anything about liquidation.

Since then the company has started trading again using the same website. Hundreds of people have lost their money, please don't join the rip off club by ordering from Furnishing Homes
