Following a windy Saturday in Ireland, our sky signal would not work. We phoned Sky and we were advised we had to wait 10 days for an engineer to call out. This turn around is not acceptable, they are well equipped with sales staff out knocking on doors and in shopping centres but no repair engineers to carry out simple tasks. No one else on our road with Sky dishes were damaged from the wind so I believe it was not fitted correctly 3 months ago. Ireland gets windy weather so am I to wait another 10 days for it to be repaired again following another storm?
We were told that if we wanted to change to a different supplier we were more than welcome too and we were provided with the same scripted responses of the turn around time. I think especially in winter/christmas time they should be more well staffed to deal with these issues
