“Awful customer 'service'”

We booked to go to Macronissos Village in Ayia Napa Cyprus in Feb 2013 for 7 adults and 2 children all inclusive. we travelled during October half term. They offered no airport transfer and we had to get a taxi both ways ( 2 hrs each way)which added to the cost significantly.

We arrived at 3am and the bed configuration was wrong because Olympic had not communicated with the hotel and it was too late to resolve.
The next day we were struck how quiet it was, we basically made up half of the hotel occupation, great for a sunbed but it also meant no kids clubs etc!
We had buffet food (as advertised) for 2 days, then the restaurant closed and we had a small menu choice for the rest of the holiday and we had to eat outside even though it was cold at night,

For the last 3 days the hotel was packing up, we sat by the pool as it was packed up around us! We paid the same as someone who stayed the first week in September but felt like we were an inconvenience. We could not complain as even the Olympic rep had left!
We wrote to Olympic when we got home and were basically told ' what do expect if you go out of season'.
Had I paid 'out of season rates' then I could accept this, bu having only paid marginally less than August prices then I cannot accept this.

I have travelled extensively with other tour operators and have never ever experienced such a dreadful lack of customer care.
