“poor communication”

I dipped my toe in the water with ordering a set of insoles and as a first time purchaser i only ever small scale to see what the customer service and communication is like. The item appeared on the website as in stock and a 2-3 day delivery. Unfortunately there was a delay which i wouldn't mind if there was some communication to say why or a website that indicated an item was not in stock. I emailed the company to express my dissatisfaction and the bland reply gave me no confidence to be a loyal returning customer. I have ordered the other items i needed from other companies that have decent customer service.
