I booked a dream holiday for my mum,aunt and myself 8weeks ago,to make up for an awful sad year my mum had just experienced. I had saved for 18months for an extra special holiday. I choose the holiday place to book a luxury hoilday to Mexico at the cost of 1923.00 per person for eleven days. As this was a surprise I had not told my mum. I rang this company and they advised me the holiday I wanted was (a SALE) and it would end in the next hour so I stupidly booked this!!. However the deposit was 100pp and I paid 250.00pp as they advised me this would enable me to have 3weeks longer to pay it off. I told Mum that evening and she looked shocked....because my Dad had also booked her a holiday for her birthday on these dates.

I rang the Holiday Place back thst same day and they advised me if I cancelled I would lose my deposit of 250.00 pp. 750POUNDS.

I explained what had happened and that I choose to pay a higher deposit as they had only asked for 100pound. I was actually crying to the advisor at this stage as it was money I simply could not afford to lose however he was adamant they were keeping the full 750.00 deposit only hours after I booked this.

I could not lose this amount of money and Dad cancelled his holiday and we decided to proceed with ours.

I emailed the HOLIDAY PLACE asking a few basic questions regarding check-in,no-one replied. I emailed 4times asking the question and rang a further 3times to speak to the sales guy who had sold me the 6thousand pound holiday. Eventually I got a reply from a different advisor who apologised and informed me the sales guy I had been trying to contact for several weeks had been on a FOUR DAY HOLIDAY!.

During those few weeks which I had been trying to contact the guy who sold me the holiday this company sent me 5 0r 6 emails advertising new holidays including one to mexico just weeks before mine,for an extra day also fully inc.for A THOUSAND POUND per person LESS than I paid. I replied to these asking some-one to contact me to no avail.

Finally I rand and spoke to a lovely girl in the Operations Dept who helped me with questions and she indeed went the extra mile when I told her of the Customer Care I had received up until this point.

The sales team wanted to sell the hoilday then did not want to know,they would not respond to emails or phone calls disgusting level of Customer Care shown by The Holiday Place sales Dept.

The holiday turned out to be no bargain,I have not even gone on this holiday yet but pricing it independantly it was much cheaper. And I am not even looking forward to the holidayy after the disgusting way I have been treated. The MANAGER of THE HOLIDAY PLACE rang today and I explained every-thing to him and he told me The company have a high percentage of happy customers. I advised him I was only speaking from my own experience and I have had an awful one. I also so very negative reports on money saving expert regarding the company.He simply told me he did not agree with them...

So I am a liar too! It would now take a MIRACLE for me to be happy with this company..I shall update my review after the holiday...Meanwhile STEER CLEAR of this Awful Company who care only about getting your hard earned money.Customer Care is NOT a priority within the SALES DEPT
