If you had asked me six months ago I would have given Sky at least a 4 star rating. They have given me solid internet for years and any problems usually got sorted within a day. However, now we have a packet loss and line drop issue that has been dragging on for 5 months. Three visits from OpenReach, several line tests (the line signal is excellent) and profile updates and innumerable diagnostics tests with the support crew has only resulted in more bulldung. I was told the router was the problem and on their advice I forked out £70 for a new one only to find out the router was not to blame. The latest unhelpful advice was that my laptop is faulty...despite my laptop working fine on a dozen other connections and half a dozen other devices having the same problem in our house. Finally after FIVE MONTHS they figured it was time to look at their exchange equipment.
I have fibre-optic cable to the house and a quote from Virgin Media and I'm ready to jump.
