“Very poor service”

Travel Republic customer service stinks. Travel Republic cancelled the Holiday, because I accidentally forgot to pay the balance of the holiday - no courtesy reminder sent. Lost the deposit, and TR took further money off the Bank account without permission. Tried to re-book the holiday the same day Travel Republic cancelled it. Customer Service mentioned that the holiday was still available, but the Bookings Service (different department) said the holiday was no longer on the system, and that the Elvira Apartments was no longer available, so I would have to select a different location. The Gentleman I spoke to on Bookings appeared unsympathetic - no help whatsoever! Terminated the call, and went straight onto the Travel Republic website...unsurprisingly the apartments were still available at the Elvira, so re-booked and paid for the holiday. Would not use Travel Republic again to book a holiday, and would certainly advise friends to do the same. Looking into a refund against the original booking and a credit for the additional monies removed from the Bank account without permission.
