“Thanet DW getting worse !”

With out being too rude, this place is a joke! I have been a member here since it 1st opened & have seen it get worse & worse!! The machines regularly break & stay broken for weeks, some times months! weights benches are left in service with seats hanging off ! Bent & missing dumbells, barbell collars that are ALWAYS loose & often fall off when in use!! Steam room that's broken more often than not & when it is working, you would get more steam by placing a kettle in there! Showers that if they don't litteraly scald you due to being too hot & unadjustable, freeze you instead( that is if they are working & not half hanging off the wall) . Now for the cleanliness . . . There is always a smell of blocked drains! Showers,that by the looks of them get cleaned once a day, if that?! Paint peeling off the ceiling! Air ducts with cob webs hanging out of them! un cleaned air conditioning units ( mind you the ones in the changing rooms are never on, so at least that doesn't blow over you!) . Benches are never wiped down, & no disinfectant spray available to do so yourself,so you can lovingly share everyone's sweat & germs in the gym!! One last thing, the sauna, that is the one good thing about the "spa" area, has been closed now due to no lights for over a week!! Why am I still here you must ask?! I wish there was somewhere else to go near by of the same size but there isn't !! Bring back Body Biz in Ramsgate, a long lost legend of a gym!!
