★★★★☆

“Private and undisturbed.”

written by on 15/09/2013

This campsite was lovely. Spacious and left to get on with it. No chance of feeling you were nearly in the next pitches tent and just what we wanted. Showers clean and hot water plentiful, just remember the furthest pitches require a fair old uphill trek back in the dark or wet!!
Camp kitchen clean and fridges plenty big enough to store daily requirements and more if the site isn't full. Joy's tips on the board in camp kitchen are week worth visiting particularly Beehive Cafe at Burton Bradstock. Breakfast at River Cottage canteen in Axminster also worth visiting as was Beer a beautiful seaside village which was like travelling back in time. The only drawback for us was that the road noise was felt intrusive at night, you are only 400 yds off the A38 main road from Dorchester to Honiton, however this wouldn't stop us either returning or recommending it.
