“Late rooms booking”

Booking system gives option of adults and children for searching, other websites let you enter age of children which is normally in UK under 16 counts as child. Booked hotel and only noticed on email that we were listed as 2 adults and 2 children(max age 8). Had to phone hotel to inform them kids were 15+16, fortunately hotel let us pay a small supplement for 16 year old and the room was still suitable.
Hotel mentioned they had had quite a few similar problems.
Website needs changing as the rest of the process was very smooth.
