“1. There is a major problem for 6310 users who are...”

Written on: 14/08/2002 by Paul Tully. (1 review written)

Good Points
As a Nokia user since May 1995, I am on my third 6310 in 3 months. There are NO GOOD POINTS WITH THIS UNIT compared with the 6210.

Bad Points
The very worst points are: 1.Incorrect firmware (as admitted by Nokia Australia); 2. Sleep mode problems; 3. Power down problems.

General Comments
1. There is a major problem for 6310 users who are utilising a car kit and have the call waiting feature activated. A second incoming call will completely obliterate the 6310 user's voice when talking to the first caller. The line goes "dead" for about 10 seconds. This happens on every call with every tested 6310 unit and with different car kits. Nokia have admitted the problem but the problem persists.

2. The 6310 goes into a "sleep mode" about once a day. You cannot make or receive phone calls, although the screen appears as norma. The only way to fix the problem is to turn the unity off and back on.

3. Without warning, the whole unit will tuen itself off for no apparent reason - about a dozen times a week.

These problem has been checked on multiple 6310s, multiple SIM cards and multiple handsfree car kits.

The 6310 is a major disaster for Nokia and I will never be using any of their products again.
